I found this Instagram style star while randomly browsing one day, and I’m so glad I did. I was bored and stalking my Popular pages, as one does, when I came across this picture:
I mean how cool, calm and collected does she look?! I literally wanted to BE her after seeing this picture. So naturally, I knew I had to recreate her style on CF.
The woman in the photo is Julia Mateian (@Juliamateian on Insta), blogger and owner of Shop the 26th Look, which is a Canadian-based e-shop. She’s also a total Instagram style star. If you’re interested in her style, I highly recommend checking out her blog and shop.
But before you do, I’ll show you how to get Julia Mateian’s ‘gram-worthy look for less.
Let’s get into it!

Julia Mateian Style – Outfit #1:
The athleisure trend has been going strong for a good couple of seasons now and this is a great way to style your athletic track pants on an everyday basis.
When styling athletic pieces for everyday wear, try pairing them with pieces that are a little dressier. That way, your look appears more intentional and less “I’m on my way to the gym”.
As you will see, I went for an off-the-shoulder top with bell sleeves that’s similar to Julia’s sweater. I also added a pair of pointed toe flats that’ll just peek out from the bell bottom pants.

I love, love, love the tassel pants that Julia is rocking in this pic but I’ll be honest: it was hard to find any similar pairs for an affordable price. These black ones are as similar as I could find without completely decimating the budget.
If you want a pair as unique as Julia’s, I would recommend checking out local fashion boutiques — you could also consider a DIY! Paired with a cute off-the-shoulder button down, a round straw bag, and metallic slides, these pants create the perfect outfit for a casual beach vacay.

Tie-front tops have been all the rage this summer because they’re so easy and breezy. They’re great as a swimsuit coverup when paired with shorts, as Julia has done here.
To help you get her look, I found a cute floral tie-front crop top and basic denim cutoffs. Rock a pretty scalloped bikini underneath to enjoy those last few summer days. Throw on a straw boater hat to protect your face from the sun and you have the perfect beach getup.

If I could copy only one outfit from Julia’s Instagram account, this would be it.
Wrap skirts are so “in” right now and I love them because they really are universally flattering. Get the look for yourself with this blue and white stripe one.
Pair the skirt with this pretty white off-the-shoulder top with a sweetheart neckline, then add some quirky accessories. There you have it: The perfect outfit for brunch with the girls!
