dance parties with the roomies before going out 🙂
My roommates and I ordered a pizza one night and we made posters for the lounge in our dorm. It was really fun eating junk food and staying up too late for our first hour classes the next day.
My favorite memory was that my roomie was from Poland and I got really close to her and her family and I got to try different foods and I learned a lot about her culture. Thanks for the awesome giveaway 🙂

My friends and I watched hours of movies while eating ice-cream cake in my Freshmen dorm.
My favorite memory is when we were infested by ladybugs! I’m not entirely sure how they got there, but my roommate and I came back from practice one afternoon to find our place COVERED in ladybugs. There were hundreds of them–on the ceiling, the walls, everywhere! My roommate wanted to squish them but I’ve always believed that they are lucky. So, she obliged me and we spent an hour trying to catch all the ladybugs in ziplock bags, and then set them free outside! We looked ridiculous trying to get them off the ceiling with a broom–but I’ll never forget that!
One of my friends brought an easy bake oven into my room, and my friends and I spent hours trying to cook actual food in it. We ended up with mushy, half-baked brownies getting thrown around the room. Food fights aren’t just for children :]
Staying up till the wee hours of the morning laying on the kitchen floor, while we stenciled tea towels for our new apartment
My favorite memory from living in the dorms is staying up late in the morning painting nails with all of my friends and roommates watching chick flicks, gossiping and sharing secrets!
Watching disney movie marathons with my floormates!
We had so many baking adventures in my dorm last year. Cake pops were my favorite! My roommates and I were up so late decorating them, then we were so sick from eating the dough we gave most of them away when we finished!
When my friends & I come back from a long night out, we always eat mac & cheese & watch old Friends episodes until we pass out!
My favorite memory of something that has happened in my dorm room was when my friends from back home came over to my dorm room at my college for a surprise visit. I really missed them a lot, and I was so happy to be able to spend a weekend with them during our first semester of college apart.
My favorite memory is when a few friends and myself had a Monty Python watching marathon. We ended up eating a lot and laughing our butts off. It was a late night but it was so much fun!
Best dorm room memory – My freshman year we had a “Shut the eff up!” jar, and every time we got yelled at by an RA for being too loud everyone in the room had to put a dollar in the jar… We were able to order pizza several times with how much money was collected! Good times were had by all “D
We filmed a music video in my dorm room my freshman year. It was a mix of the oddest collection of songs we could find and we had to edit out the sounds of my laughter because you couldn’t hear the music over it 🙂
My best dorm memory was when my roommate and I threw a surprise party for our other roommate’s 21st birthday.
I found this cute idea on Pinterest where you fill up a balloon with glitter before you blow it up, so we decided to make 21 glitter balloons. Somehow, we did it wrong because the glitter scratched the plastic and busted. Glitter went EVERYWHERE. All over the room, our clothes, the floor, our lungs, behind my contact. Everywhere.
The two of us got really quiet, and, somehow, the birthday girl did not wake up (studying plus long hours equals hard sleeper).
After tumbling out into the hall so we could laugh for a bit, the two of us went back into the room and stayed up all night quietly decorating the room (and by that, I mean we kept knocking into everything, loosing the tape, and slipping on glitter.)
When she woke up on her birthday, she was so surprised, not that we had stayed up all night, decorated the room, or even made her cupcakes at two in the morning. No. She was impressed that we “knew” that her birthday wish was that she could wake up to a room covered in glitter…
We exchanged sideways glances, nodded, and played it off as if that were the whole plan.
Then we ate cupcakes for breakfast. Cupcakes are defiantly a bonus to any morning.
