  1. Hmm, perhaps it was the night that my roommates and I made dinner and baked cookies in our sketchy dorm kitchen, and we all piled into my room, sat on the floor and had a feast. I swear it was the most delicious meal I had all year!

  2. I have a good one- The night before finals when my roommate and I decided to reorganize our room at 1 a.m.- complete with a 90’s music dance party that spilled out into the hallway!
We made a relaxation nook under the bunk beds with sheets and christmas lights, and melted candy bars in a fondue pot we had found at a flea market. That is by far my favorite memory of college- sitting on the floor of our dorm tired from dancing like a maniac, under twinkle lights and bright colored tapestries, eating molten Hershey’s bars and cookies(stolen from the dining hall of course). That is what college living was to me 🙂

  3. So many good memories, but my absolute favorite memory is the most bittersweet. It was on our last night together before summer when me and my roommate were talking about all our big dreams and ambitions of what we were going to do and who we were going to be when we “grew up”. 4 years later she’s a super accomplished journalist, and I am still in the catacombs of post-grad biochemistry… sigh.

  4. Favorite thing? A lot of funny things happen because my roommate is hilarious, but this year we have a fake fetus doll. We like to dress it up for different situations and leave it somewhere in the apartment. Right now Mr. Fetus is by a campfire making s’mores with Mr. Chipmunk. Earlier in the year he had a spa day with cucumbers on his eyes.

  5. My favorite memory was staying up late with my roommate until 3 in the morning making over a hundred tissue paper flowers to decorate our dorm room ceiling. We loved the flowers so much that we ended up packing them and putting them up this year. Every time I look up at our ceiling now I think of the great night we shared laughing and sharing secrets while making those flowers; it reminds me how lucky I am to have such a great roommate and friend.

  6. My favorite moment that’s happened at my dorm was how everyone that lived on my floor would come over to my room to see my bedspread because it was so cute. I loved having visitors all of the time! They all really liked one of my pillows from PB Teen that had a picture in it! Everyone thought that was super cute. When word got out that I had a cute room and people started coming by my room quite often, I was able to meet a bunch of new people which was awesome!

  7. My roommate surprised me with a Chippendales dancer (think Magic Mike) in our room for my birthday. I couldn’t figure out why every girl in our dorm was packing into our tiny room! I was totally embarrassed!! Afterwards when we opened our door, every GUY in our dorm was outside (obviously hoping to pick up the girls).
I overheard conversations about that night around campus for months… Only a great roommate would scavenge up every last dime she had (college kids are poor) to surprise/embarrass me like this 🙂

  10. My favorite memory is when my friends and I cooked a whole bunch of bbq skewers for a Moon Festival Potluck. We had a lot of fun and played a few games while we waited for the food to cook. 😀

  11. My favorite dorm memory is my best friend Bianca birthday surprise! Her birthday was coming up and she wanted to go home to celebrate but didn’t have the $. Her and her mom weren’t speaking and her boyfriend was away on duty in the military. Me and our other best friend Jasmine decided to throw her a party with just us 3 in my room. We all went to dinner in the cafe and afterwards we told her we had a meeting to go to so she went back to her room. Me and Jasmine took the bus to Walmart and we bought a cake, princess cupcakes, streamers, balloons, drinks and candles. Our rooms were across from each other so we had to be extra quiet setting up. Jasmine went and got her while i lit the cake and as she walked in we sang Happy Birthday!. She hates surprises but was crying and laughing at the same time. She loved it

  12. my favorite dorm memory was from freshman year, about 4 years ago.. my friends and i were just gabbing about boys and classes and feeling “grown-up”, all the while noshing on microwaved garlic bread and stinky tostitos nacho cheese.. there was something really bittersweet about that moment because we had all shown a really different side of ourselves during that conversation.. and in that moment, it became apparent to me that things wouldn’t be like they were in high school. i hold on to that moment dearly because as of this moment, it has been three years since the four of us spent time together. really taught me the value of friendship and treasuring moments and just.. enjoying the littlest moments because one day, all you’ll have is the moments – and not the people you spent those moments with. 🙂

  13. I have so many memories but one that pops out was when me and a couple friends from college were filming a music video at my apartment just for fun and part of it we looked really intense playing mario brothers.

  14. My mom was over and we had a movie marathon of different genres but mostly comedy. Imagine two people at 1 am laugh their heads off. Its was simple but nice especially since we had food.

  15. My favorite moment in my dorm would be the first time I made dinner for my boyfriend. I spent the whole day preparing for it and of course nothing went as planned ! In the end it was all worth it because we were able to spend time together. 🙂
