With school getting back into full swing, it’s no secret that we could all use a little boost in getting back into the daily grind. Studying, memorizing and presenting is not an easy feat for any of us, and memorizing pages of material for those dreaded exams is probably one of the most stressful parts of college.
In an effort to add a little fun to the memorization process, Coca-Cola has launched the Crammer Keeper, a free new online tool that turns notes into catchy tunes…helping you memorize your notes in a new and fun way. Users can select the voice, choose a track genre (hip hop, rock, etc.) and then download the song onto their computers and share with their classmates and friends. Might as well turn your boring notes into a hip hop single, right?
It gets better, though – to help spread the word around the launch of the Crammer Keeper, Coca-Cola is giving away an iPod Touch to one lucky CF reader! Read on for all the details on how to win!

I have my study buddies quiz me!
To study for a big test, I always review all my handwritten notes after class and then anything I do not remember, write it down again. My notes get smaller and smaller until I memorized everything. Time consuming, but it has yet to fail me!
The best way for me to study is studying over prior days of exams. It works better for me to pit in lots of hours over s few days prior to exam because I do not cram and learn it. It usually allows me to sleep better and more hours to sleep.
taking good notes and color coding important definitions and facts really works wonders
Studying in advance helps me out a lot! Even if it’s just 1/2 an hour 2 weeks before the exam, I retain information more effectively in a lot less time. This is especially true of the classes that require me to memorize lots of information for exams.
sleep!! i’d choose to sacrifice a few hours of studying to get my eight hours. my brain can’t function at all without enough rest.
I write down my notes in an outline using a branch format, and then read the answers to the study guide out loud to myself several times a day.
My best study tip is to take good note. Having good notes that you can understand will help you in the long run. It is best to write more that way, when you look back to study you aren’t confused at what you wrote.
The study tip that works for me is to separate all of the information by color and into charts, so when a topic comes up on a test, I remember what color is associated with each topic.
Make review sheets as you learn new material so you don’t have to cram at the last minute.
The best way to study is to make funny connections between what you need to memorize and your own life.. works every time!
Explain a concept to someone else! Get a friend to sit down and listen while you try to explain a really tough concept to them. It makes you organize your thoughts so that someone else can understand what you mean (like your professor!). Its the best way to study!
My best study tip is if your textbook comes with a companion study guide such as a companion website, a cd or a study book, USE THEM. They’re there for a reason and they help out a great deal for those hard to understand texts from the book.
My best study tip is to get a good night’s rest the night before an exam. 🙂
Don’t wait till the last minute. I of all people know how easy it is to procrastinate, but you will be a lot less stressed if you start studying ahead of time. Make sure to get enough sleep, and read your notes before bed. Studies have shown reading things you want to remember before bed will help you memorize them. make sure to take good notes and keep them in order, otherwise reading them wont do much good. also, make sure to read the entire chapter in the book, along with any picture captions. Often times teachers will pull random questions from the reading that they didn’t cover during their lectures, because they told you to do the readings. Something that has also helped me is to create a visual in my mind. if there is a story or something that i am trying to memorize I create a picture in my head to go with each section, and when i remember the pictures in order i remember what goes with them. this also works for playing music. use a different type of music for each subject and if you remember the music in your head, it’ll make it easier to remember.
When you’re studying, take a break every once in a while. For example, study for two hours and then take a 30 minute break to do something you like. If you study for a longer time, take a longer break. I find this works great for me.
