With school getting back into full swing, it’s no secret that we could all use a little boost in getting back into the daily grind. Studying, memorizing and presenting is not an easy feat for any of us, and memorizing pages of material for those dreaded exams is probably one of the most stressful parts of college.
In an effort to add a little fun to the memorization process, Coca-Cola has launched the Crammer Keeper, a free new online tool that turns notes into catchy tunes…helping you memorize your notes in a new and fun way. Users can select the voice, choose a track genre (hip hop, rock, etc.) and then download the song onto their computers and share with their classmates and friends. Might as well turn your boring notes into a hip hop single, right?
It gets better, though – to help spread the word around the launch of the Crammer Keeper, Coca-Cola is giving away an iPod Touch to one lucky CF reader! Read on for all the details on how to win!

My best study tips is to be comfortable while you study; if you’re uncomfortable while you’re writing notes or studying for a test, you’re always distracted by moving around and huffnig and puffing to feel better. I always sit somewhere comfy, but not my bed since I think I would easily fall asleep after a long day of classes. 🙂
Very cool online tool! My best study tip is to take copious, organized notes & then to turn them into equally copious, organized flash cards in the week before the exam. Never failed me!
I actually do my best studying with friends! Sometimes friends can be a distraction, but I find it helps to have someone else in the room doing the same thing–it keeps me on track. And when I take a study break I can catch up with them instead of just stalking Facebook AGAIN. 🙂
My favorite study tip is to use the flash cards because you can carry them everywhere and study whenever you have a free moment. I also like doing the 30/30 method. You work really hard and stay focused for 30 minutes, and then take a 30 minute break. It helps me stay focused and on task because I want to accomplish all that I possibly can in that 30 minute period.
Make notes using the Cornell method or something similar. Pay attention in class and make sure you have something to look forward to at the end of the day such as a mini ski trip “if there’s one in the area” or go dancin. Just make sure you schedule your time wisely for studying etc. and always finish that homework.
I love listening to music when I’m studying, but upbeat music and music with lyrics distract me. Instead, I listen to classical music and scores from my favorite movies and I’m all set 😀
My study tip is to start studying ahead of time! Always make a note of points that the professor stresses or discusses several times in class. Also, if it’s Monday and the professor tells you there is going to be a quiz/test on Thursday, you should spend a little time preparing and studying every day. On Monday, you should organize your notes and/or make flashcards. On Tuesday and Wednesday, you should go over those notes and quiz yourself. Make sure you actually KNOW the material and are not just FAMILIAR with it.
Studying will be different for different subjects and for different students, but preparing and working ahead are the best, simplest things that you can do!
I never compromise sleep for studying, and to do that I have to plan in advance to get everything done.
always read through course material BEFORE attending lecture and take good detailed notes!
Use a scented lotion while you are studying and use it again the day of the test. Smell is proven to trigger memory, and if you use a scent like lavender, it will create a relaxing and calm atmosphere as you study. Also, try a citrus or peppermint scent, you’ll feel more alert, too.
But not only smell brings back memories–while memorizing lists, tapping a finger or foot for each fact, and then repeating the action during the test might be just what you need to jog your brain. (just remember not to disturb your neighbors!)
Hope you found these tips helpful and good luck on your test!
My best study tip is to plan ahead, and write down everything you have to do. After checking facebook to get it out of your system (haha), shut off your computer and focus. i find my best way to study is looking over my notes multiple times and memorizing
I like to use the self control app. Its an application I downloaded online but i don’t remember where. But it lets you make a list of distracting websites and programs (facebook, stumble upon, etc.) that it will block for a time period that you pick and nothing you can do (restarting, quitting the app, etc.) will let you go to those sites. Its nice because I can still use the internet to look up things without the temptation of facebook!
My study tip is to take notes in a spiral bound notebook rather than on loose leaf paper. This helps me keep up with my notes for each class. Another tip is to start studying at least a week in advance to a big test!! The extra study time pays off 🙂
The best way to study in school, especially when you have a test coming is to read and review through the material. Subjects like biology, psychology, or history is all about memorization. You can use flash cards for those things. Math is all about practice. I have had experience when you forget how to do a problem and you panic. Best thing to do is go for extra help! Most, if not all colleges provide free tutoring on campus. I took the advance and I got an A through my hard work! My favorite way to study is to go through concepts what I’ve done in class for 1 hour while listening to music (like Lady Gaga, Phoenix, or the radio). Then take 20-30 min breaks for your brain to retain information. Otherwise, You might burn yourself out! A day or 2 before you take your test, Just relax! Subconsciously, You already know the material. Anyone can do it!
My best way to study is STUDY AHEAD!
Come up with a plan and study couple hours each day before the exam
really helps.
When I have to study for a big exam I find that making flash cards is the most useful way for me to remember everything. Writing notes definitely makes everything stick 🙂
