With school getting back into full swing, it’s no secret that we could all use a little boost in getting back into the daily grind. Studying, memorizing and presenting is not an easy feat for any of us, and memorizing pages of material for those dreaded exams is probably one of the most stressful parts of college.
In an effort to add a little fun to the memorization process, Coca-Cola has launched the Crammer Keeper, a free new online tool that turns notes into catchy tunes…helping you memorize your notes in a new and fun way. Users can select the voice, choose a track genre (hip hop, rock, etc.) and then download the song onto their computers and share with their classmates and friends. Might as well turn your boring notes into a hip hop single, right?
It gets better, though – to help spread the word around the launch of the Crammer Keeper, Coca-Cola is giving away an iPod Touch to one lucky CF reader! Read on for all the details on how to win!

I study a little bit everyday, starting about 2 weeks before the exam. Also, right before I go to bed, I review everything so I “dream” about it. hahahaha 🙂
My best study tip is plain and simple, but the trick is it works. I try to memorize less and understand more. Cramming has never worked for me so I also tend to ask stupid questions. No, seriously- you never learn the material better until you can teach it. Hope this helps and best of luck 🙂
I always write down what i need to know in BIG letters on huge, colorful pieces of paper, and post it around my house. For example, if i need to know a math equation, or a vocabulary word, i write it down, and tape it to my fridge, by my bed, in the bathroom, ect.
Best study tip ever? Flash cards, highlighting notes, and ACTUALLY doing the required readings 🙂
well what always helps me b4 a quiz or a test is taking a picture of my notes on my phone and every 3 days i change them 2 a different page of notes and every time i look @ my phone i always end up reading my notes ever since i started that iv been doing really well on tests! hope it helpful 🙂
My best study tip is to make a list of every assignment I have to do and everything I have to study and cross it off when I finish.
My best tip is to get organized! Something so simple gets overlooked! Try to organize a study schedule and break up your material so it doesn’t look daunting. Also, have snacks and no distractions to keep procrastination at bay
Don’t put off studying for the night before. Study a little every day before the test and go over what you don’t know. 🙂
I rap my notes. You gain street cred AND knowledge
The best way to study for a test for which your professor has not provided you a study guide is to go through your notes (hopefully you took lots) and a.) try to predict the questions that will be on the test or b.) make up questions about the material that you must answer using as much of your knowledge as possible then write out the answers first while looking at your notes and then without looking as many times as it takes to have the answers memorized. Follow up with a good night of sleep and NEVER look at the material right before the test, it will put blocks in your memory.
Personally, I like connecting what I’m studying to something that relates to me personally. For example, if I’m studying vocabulary words I would give the word a scenario in which it becomes a person, and then have that ‘person’ perform the action or meaning of the word. It makes remembering the words alot easier!
I use flashcards and make a game that can be played by myself or with friends. If you write the vocab word (or formula, ect,) on one side or the card and the answer on the other it becomes a game of memory. Since I like a challenge I either time myself or have friends come over and make a prize for whoever can get the most right. This method also works for maps, art, or any other memorization assignments. When homework is fun, I find it is alot easier to remember.
Over the past three years of college I’ve learned the hard way that cramming never works! I used to wait til the day before the test and fill myself with red bull and coffee and study all night long. Then finally I realized that if I just take a few hours out of the week off of facebook and away from the TV and read over my notes everything is easy peasy lemon squeezy!
Since i’m a visual learner, i do week long- evening craming sessions because you usually remember the last thing you read before you go to sleep. Sometimes i use songs or acronyms when i have tons of vocabulary i need to memorize. And for my Biology classes, I connect it to something real life. Such as Zygomatic arch….is the cheek bone or Supination….holding soup/palms up! Just a few!….Hope the tips are helpful!
When studying for tests or even classes in general, I record my notes (in stupid voices I must admit…) and listen to them while taking the bus to school or when walking from class to class. I find it EXTREMELY helpful and by the time a test rolls around I almost always get an perfect score.
Also, making up funny acronyms helps too.
And what I find AMAZINGLY HELPFUL is eating a favorite snack while studying. And then right before a test, eat that same snack. I’m not really sure why, but it’s as if my brain pours out the info once I eat that same snack I ate the night before. (I eat cupcakes.. Perhaps not the world’s healthiest snack – but it works!)
For math type classes do A LOT of practice problems!
For everything else I type up a somewhat detailed studyguide and then make another one with less detail and force myself to fill in the details and so on until you get a “skeleton” of the information you need to know and you can either write/think about the more detailed info
