With school getting back into full swing, it’s no secret that we could all use a little boost in getting back into the daily grind. Studying, memorizing and presenting is not an easy feat for any of us, and memorizing pages of material for those dreaded exams is probably one of the most stressful parts of college.
In an effort to add a little fun to the memorization process, Coca-Cola has launched the Crammer Keeper, a free new online tool that turns notes into catchy tunes…helping you memorize your notes in a new and fun way. Users can select the voice, choose a track genre (hip hop, rock, etc.) and then download the song onto their computers and share with their classmates and friends. Might as well turn your boring notes into a hip hop single, right?
It gets better, though – to help spread the word around the launch of the Crammer Keeper, Coca-Cola is giving away an iPod Touch to one lucky CF reader! Read on for all the details on how to win!

My best tip is, if your a procrastinator like me, is to walk to the library and study. Walking will help clear your mind and its not distracting at the library.
My favorite study tip (not my most effective, mind you) is associating some kind of a song for each bit of information you’re studying. Because I sometimes listen to music while I study, I can decide some information goes with some song.
Like, listening to Sara Bareilles’ Love Song should make me remember what Jay’s Treaty is.
It helps because I walk around humming and singing a certain song pulls the information from my head so I’m practically studying when I’m just singing along!
for overall things, I find that typing up notes helps me retain the information better, works even better if i handwrite it all (but i usually don’t have that much time!)
also, coming up with funny mnemonics for more detailed things works out great for me.
My best study tip is to come up with silly acronyms to memorize lists of notes! Also, try taking book notes at least 4 days in advance, writing down at least 1 thing from every paragraph. Finally, my favorite breakfast tip – eat protein with a little bit of sugar in the morning to get your brain jump-started the day of the exam! Good luck!
I make up catchy acronyms that I still remember to this day! For example, for memorizing the stages of mitosis in Bio, I put the letters backwords to spell TAMPI which was Interphase, Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, and Telophase. Or in Global, to remember the Patricians and the Plebeians it was the Patricas and the Pheobes. Just things that I could associate differents words with helped me remember!
What helps me efficiently study are index cards and a well organized planner! Everything I do goes into my planner and I map out my day I include times when I’ll be free and what I should be doing with my free time. It helps me eliminate ‘boredom’ and I always get my work done on time. With the index cards, I make study cards for every class-right after a lecture. This way I don’t have to spend hours cramming info onto them and when I have an exam it is much easier to grab my index cards and put them in my purse than to grab a binder!
The best way to study for me is by going to starbucks or a noisy cafe. It’s so loud that it becomes white noise and if I listen to my ipod, I manage to concentrate loads better than if i went to the library!
I get hyper-organized! Sticky notes and highlighters save me everytime.
Best study tip: Flashcards. It’s the best way to memorize anything, no matter what course you’re studying for. When I study, I usually make two piles: cards I know really well and cards I don’t know really well. Then once I’ve mastered the cards I don’t know really well, I put all my cards together and test myself again to make sure I know everything.
I rewrite my notes, whether I have them on paper or on my laptop, the day of the exam, just so I can go over every bit of information I have for the test.
Whenever I need to study, I grab a Java Chip Frappe from Starbucks to keep me energized!
I go over the material I have (notes, slides, book) and then pretend to explain/teach what I just learned to someone else. I make sure I sleep enough the night before and wake up early so I can review. About 10 minutes before the exam I put my stuff away and listen to some music so I can relax and not panic during the exam (it also prevents my overhearing others’ conversations that make me doubt myself and what I know).
I use fashcardmachine.com. I’m a visual learner, and the website really helps to not make studying so boring.
Don’t cram it all in the night before — spread out your studying! Also, writing study guides helps, especially if you handwrite them — it helps everything stick better, and it’s easier to study later so you don’t have to slog through all your unimportant notes all over again.
My favorite study tip is to read your material out loud while walking around your room. It has been proved that reading out loud helps your brain absorb more information. I have been using this tip since high school. 🙂
my study tip- coloured markers!
whether its for jazzing up notes, making revision/flash cards, post-it notes or posters (all of which I do) coloured pens are the way forward.
because its a creative activity, studying is fun for me and I dont feel pressurised to cramcramcramcramcram
also when I look and them it helps my brain to file away the information better by associating it with certain colours or pictures.
and most importantly, as I’m drawing/or writing from memory I’m going over the information as I go along!
my room looks awesome with all my revision deco too!
