Coca Cola Crammer Keeper iPod Touch

With school getting back into full swing, it’s no secret that we could all use a little boost in getting back into the daily grind. Studying, memorizing and presenting is not an easy feat for any of us, and memorizing pages of material for those dreaded exams is probably one of the most stressful parts of college.

In an effort to add a little fun to the memorization process, Coca-Cola has launched the Crammer Keeper, a free new online tool that turns notes into catchy tunes…helping you memorize your notes in a new and fun way. Users can select the voice, choose a track genre (hip hop, rock, etc.) and then download the song onto their computers and share with their classmates and friends. Might as well turn your boring notes into a hip hop single, right?

It gets better, though – to help spread the word around the launch of the Crammer Keeper, Coca-Cola is giving away an iPod Touch to one lucky CF reader! Read on for all the details on how to win!

  1. Here are my BEST tips for study!
1.Do your study in your room and tidy your room before hand.
2.Make sure there is no computer, laptop, ipod or mobile that may drive you away from study!
3.Make good use of your notebook and try to make some summary notes on it while reading the notes or textbook given. *remember your summary notes MUST be in your own wording or ways of writing (except for those termology things)
    4. Re-read your own notes before examination, make highlight by different colour pens if neccessary.
5.Go ahead and wish you all best in your exam 🙂

  2. My best study tip is to find the most quiet that you can. i personally can’t even work with music like a lot of my friends can. I also annotate almost everything I read. Write notes on post its so that you can look back at specific information with ease and retain the information better through writing it down.

  3. I best study at the harbourfront center in my city. I sit by the lake during spring/summer or inside a cafe that has a view of the lake during the winter/fall. I have an itunes’s list filled with soothing and soft music (because I can’t study in silence, it kills me). I then have a bowl of fruits and a bottle of water near me at all times. and then I sit back relax and study through my notes. Each day is a different subject so that I have a balance in each class.

  4. I add little moves; especially if what I am memorizing is a list. I turn it into a little dance. I used to get all my friends in on it in college!

  5. I like to maintain two notebooks for each of my classes. I use one of the notebooks to take notes in class and then I transcribe my notes from class into the second notebook when I get home. It is important that I actually make sure I understand the content of my notes while I’m copying them. This helps me determine which parts I’m struggling with so that I can attend office hours.

  6. My study tip is to study hardcore for fifteen minutes, then take a random dancing break inbetween. It loosens up nerves and shakes of anxiety.

  7. I just go through my notes and make flash cards for words I don’t know and some that I do just to keep my confidence up 🙂 It helped me graduate so I think it works out.

  8. I absolutely need to be in a quiet place…I can’t even study in the library or with friends because it drives me absolutely batty to hear people typing on the computer! Haha. I don’t do breaks at all. I need to study until I understand everything and review it it for a while before I take a test!

There is also a program called “SelfControl” (what an appropriate name, right!?) that lets you block certain websites for a certain amount of time. Once you block it, you can’t unblock it until the time is up. It’s great for when you’re in a lecture and are tempted to Facebook instead!

  9. Find out Your Learning Style- I’m equally Visual & Kinaesthetic. http://www.brainboxx.co.uk/a3_aspects/pages/VAK_quest.htm
I like to draw or write what I see into notes- It makes it more of a physical memory or walk around speaking out loud questions and answers.

With last minute cramming- Give yourself an end time & trust your memory!

Find a quiet comfy space. Put on some background TV/ Music if it helps: make sure its familiar though.
Get regular breaks to walk around and get a cup of tea or another type of treat 🙂

  10. My study tip is to find a quiet space, eliminate distractions (FACEBOOK !), and study every night leading up to a big test for 10 minutes a night. That way its not all crammed into the night before.

  11. My tip is to go to library or another quiet place and study for 1 hour intervals, with 10 minute breaks in between. Also – prioritize. If you have a lot of subjects to study for, spend more time on the one that has more difficult material and/or has a test coming up sooner.

  12. I record all my notes to audio, load them onto my iPod and when I take a break to do chores or go for a run, I listen to the notes I recorded. This makes sure different parts of my brain are engaging with the information, and it makes me feel less guilty about taking a break!

  13. I find taking the first letters of a phrase I need to remember for a test and using them to make up a silly story or a rhyme works wonders for making me remember important things – the sillier and more amusing the better because I will tend to recall the facts more easily if I’m having some fun out of studying!

  14. I write everything down in bullet point form on a typepad. Writing it, as opposed to typing, somehow helps me remember things better!

  15. 1. Record lectures using an audio recorder and listen to your lecture over again at times when you have nothing useful to do such as the waiting room at your doctor/dentist/haircut appointments or even while commuting on a bus or whatever.
    2. Rewrite your notes if they’re messy this way you’ll be able to go over them again and can refer to your notes quickly to look up something and write down any questions you have in the margin so you can ask your professor the next time you go to class.
    3. Spend 15-30 minutes each night going over notes taken that day. This way you’ll be actually learning the information rather than cramming and forgetting.
    4. Keep your notes and any handouts in an organized manner for efficiency purposes.
    5. GO TO CLASS! Trust me; you miss a day’s lecture, you could have missed which points your professor stressed for the exam or parts he said to ignore because it wasn’t important. You could be wasting precious time the night before if you were cramming for the exam studying things you don’t even need to know.
