Coca Cola Crammer Keeper iPod Touch

With school getting back into full swing, it’s no secret that we could all use a little boost in getting back into the daily grind. Studying, memorizing and presenting is not an easy feat for any of us, and memorizing pages of material for those dreaded exams is probably one of the most stressful parts of college.

In an effort to add a little fun to the memorization process, Coca-Cola has launched the Crammer Keeper, a free new online tool that turns notes into catchy tunes…helping you memorize your notes in a new and fun way. Users can select the voice, choose a track genre (hip hop, rock, etc.) and then download the song onto their computers and share with their classmates and friends. Might as well turn your boring notes into a hip hop single, right?

It gets better, though – to help spread the word around the launch of the Crammer Keeper, Coca-Cola is giving away an iPod Touch to one lucky CF reader! Read on for all the details on how to win!

  1. My best study tip is to make a study guide based on lecture notes/recordings/readings before a test (1-2 weeks before) and study whenever I can. I use a weird font on the study guide.. for some reason Times New Roman makes everything boring. I also like to quiz my self before and after studying to see what I need to work on more (learning how to recall instead of recognizing helps too) . Also, if I’m wearing jeans while I’m studying I wear jeans to the test and I sit in the same seat that I normally do (it actually helps).

  2. Make your OWN flashcards, one for each important class concept. You’ll already have the material halfway memorized, even before you start reviewing them!

  3. Best study tip/probably the worst thing for my body: After completing a full day of academia fueled by excess amount of coffee, grab another cup of java and begin reading the study guide around 9 p.m. After half-heartedly filling the guide out, skim the 20 plus chapters you didn’t read all semester. Try to stay up until at least 5:30 a.m., especially if your test is an 8:40 a.m.
After a few hours of half-sleep, half-nervous fluttering, hop out of bed bright and early with the help of yesterday’s caffeine jitters. Trudge to class, looking over your study guide. Second guess no answers, and continue the day proceeding the test with more coffee and no naps.
Believe it or not, this formula has gotten me many an A.

  4. My study tip is attractiveness. lol I write notes in colored in and on colored flash cards. i color coordinate everything. Or i blast my favorite song and substitute the lyrics with what ever i need to memorize. I did this a lot with formulas i needed to memorize when i took algebra 2 and chemistry. =]

  5. My study tip is to study in your own private room and not common places like library. Since your own room will give you the normal atmosphere, you will be more relaxed and less likely to be distracted, thus being more concentrated on studying.

  6. My secret study tip is to work for 30 solid minutes with absolutely no distractions, then take another 30 to just take a break and not think about what I am studying. Breaking up the work not only makes studying bearable, but you’ll be surprised at how much more productive you will become!

  7. Take power naps! But be sure to keep them under 20 minutes, or they become counterproductive, and make sure to WAKE UP when you set your alarm so you don’t waste more time. Of course, the best tip is to get a full night’s sleep—you consolidate information during REM cycles.

  8. My tip is to take whatever subject you’re studying for and explain it to a classmate, friend, or anyone who will listen as if you’re teaching them. If there is something you don’t know, check your notes and keep explaining. Once you try to get someone to understand it, it makes you understand it better as well.

  11. Think about what your learning style is. This is important, and I don’t think a lot of people do this even though it’s so simple.

Are you a visual/audio learner? If so, you might study more effectively by creating collages (physically or just in your mind) of images to piece together information…OR, in a way that the Crammer Keeper is extremely helpful…make up songs to remember information. Something I did when I was in school was make up silly stories, rhymes, or poems to memorize things.

Some people learn better through repetition. In this case, something like flash cards and drills is helpful.

  12. in this order: reread notes, write up everything on flashcards, reskim textbook, sleep an hour earlier the night before and wake up an hour early to lazily flip through the notes and flashcards and eat a good breakfast :] usually for me, that means english tea with milk and toast with really nice jam :]

  13. My best study tip is probably ditch all social networking sites when you hit the books. In some extreme cases I log off everything and just have my music playing. its a good way to cut back on the distractions!

  14. sometimes it helps to make my own little sign language to memorize terms or concepts.

that, and a lot of coffee and some folksy tunes in the background help keep me focused.

  15. What helps me study is first of all I always gotta have music on on low. Somehow it always helps me concentrate. The next thing is I have to be alone in a room n I cannot have any other noise other then the music or I won’t be able to concentrate on the material. The last thing is I have to repeat the material over n over again like 10 times to help me remember and for the stuff to stay in my head. And the last last thing is I have to have a good night sleep in order to concentrate and study for hours. Hope this helps.

  16. For classes like maths and physics that are not heavy on memorization, I try not to study the night before. Unless I’m really cramming, I stop studying after dinner and just watch tv. That helps me relax and get a good night’s sleep.
The few times that I crammed, I tend to fixate on the things that I studied immediately before bed, even when they don’t apply to the questions on the exam at all.
