With school getting back into full swing, it’s no secret that we could all use a little boost in getting back into the daily grind. Studying, memorizing and presenting is not an easy feat for any of us, and memorizing pages of material for those dreaded exams is probably one of the most stressful parts of college.
In an effort to add a little fun to the memorization process, Coca-Cola has launched the Crammer Keeper, a free new online tool that turns notes into catchy tunes…helping you memorize your notes in a new and fun way. Users can select the voice, choose a track genre (hip hop, rock, etc.) and then download the song onto their computers and share with their classmates and friends. Might as well turn your boring notes into a hip hop single, right?
It gets better, though – to help spread the word around the launch of the Crammer Keeper, Coca-Cola is giving away an iPod Touch to one lucky CF reader! Read on for all the details on how to win!

My study tip: Study for 15 to 30 minutes minutes after class that day. It reinforces the new information and makes it easier to remember and study when you have to take that test! 30 minutes to go over notes after class is surprisingly helpful when it comes time to cram!
I hand write study guides and make outlines from the textbook!
I like to make very colorful visuals of whatever I’m studying (especially biochem pathways and chemical structures) and put up the visuals around my room, so even when I’m not studying, the stuff still catches my eye and seeps into my head.
It’s also helpful for me to talk out loud to myself or to try to explain concepts to friends and roommates who don’t know anything about them.
I love making up catchy tunes or making a cathcy phrase to help me parts when I’m getting stuck.
Another trick I use is I stop studying 30 minutes before I plan Yo fall asleep because the information doesn’t have time to settle in your brain if it’s less time.
i need to use color in my notes & organize flash cards. it is best to make the flash cards at least a week before the exam because they are time consuming, when finished study them and carry them with u as if they are your cell phone, even in the restroom haha. Study guides are also very helpful.
I take notes during class, then days before the test i’ll read the text book along with the notes, it gives more background information making some stuff easier to understand. Also making lots of index cards is reallyyyy helpful! Highlighter in like 5 different colors! lol whatever works. Probably the best thing would be the amount of time you spend studying, that matters more then what you do to study.
I think through all the years, what I’ve finally learned is that the more you do day-to-day, the easier the exam will be. But if I haven’t done that, my usual routine is to plot out a study schedule two weeks before the exam and start cramming during the two weeks. Then the night before, I’ll sleep early and wake up early to review and get the exam over with! 🙂
For me, it’s all about the snacks! I like to get snacks that come with many small pieces like M&Ms or carrot sticks (when I’m feeling guilty from eating all those M&Ms). I reward myself with one M&M or carrot for every page I read or for each time I can go through my flash cards and get them all right. For me, food is a good motivator! I guess that’s why they use treats to train animals!
Study tip: sit down everyday for at least 20min and try and remember what you learnt it class – write this down. Then review your notes really quickly, and write down any questions you may have. Then devote at least half an hour for each class on the weekend, to go through what you learnt.
For me, since I’m and arts/law student (australia), I find the weekend review the most helpful, because that way I can start thinking about how I’ll put my summaries together for the open-book exams.
My best study tip that works for me is reviewing notes at least three days before the test. I find that spreading out the load makes my life a lot less stressful! 🙂
My tip is that i take all the notes I have written and turn them into a review sheet with terms and lists. The whole review sheet is also separated into different colors which help with memorization.
take lots of notes and work on practice problems
Always read the material before class and study with help of the lecture notes. –You take much better notes if you read before class
My best study tips are lots of coffee or tea, quiet atmosphere, and I go through and make my own study guides. I pick out the most important things and make sure I am familiar with them. I just downloaded Evernote which I found out about from a previous post and I’m super excited to use that for studying this semester as well!
I work best with music, the library, coffee and snacks.
I have a few great study tips that help. I will make a stack of flash cards that are color coordinated. for the ones that are lengthy I will either turn them into little jingles that will help me memorize them. Usually to the tune of an old nursery rythme. Also I always aim for a good nights sleep and a healthy breakfast the day of.
