With school getting back into full swing, it’s no secret that we could all use a little boost in getting back into the daily grind. Studying, memorizing and presenting is not an easy feat for any of us, and memorizing pages of material for those dreaded exams is probably one of the most stressful parts of college.
In an effort to add a little fun to the memorization process, Coca-Cola has launched the Crammer Keeper, a free new online tool that turns notes into catchy tunes…helping you memorize your notes in a new and fun way. Users can select the voice, choose a track genre (hip hop, rock, etc.) and then download the song onto their computers and share with their classmates and friends. Might as well turn your boring notes into a hip hop single, right?
It gets better, though – to help spread the word around the launch of the Crammer Keeper, Coca-Cola is giving away an iPod Touch to one lucky CF reader! Read on for all the details on how to win!

my best study method i use is definitely flash cards. since i am a visual person, it definitely helps me remember. plus, i always use fun anagrams to make the studying less tedious and even more helpful!
My most helpful study tip is to have a distinct regimen. That way, every time you set up to study in the same way, your brain knows that its’ time for business. My regimen is to turn on some classical tunes, pull out my handy dandy flashcards, and create and memorize little sayings that are more fun than re-reading the same things over and over again!
Head to the Diner, get some cheese fries, remind them to keep the ranch coming, and hit the books. Coffee is eventually required.
The night before a big test I type out everything I need to remember on the computer, and then handwrite it twice on paper. Then I go to sleep. The next morning I wake up remembering what I studied because it was the last thing on my mind before I went to bed!
I keep up with the reading and make sure to go over the notes on the weekends. Also, doing practice questions is key 🙂
My favorite study tip is listening to music; soft enough so I don’t end up singing the lyrics, but loud enough for me to know which song is playing 🙂
It’s funny, but it really helps me memorize the material. When I write about the same material during the exam, I have the song I was listening to playing in my head! It’s wierd, I can’t study without music now!
the best study tip i have is to read the chapter or assigned pages BEFORE it is discussed in class. once you go over it in class and read it one more time while studying for a test or quiz, you would have read the material 3 times already! and we all know that the 3rd time is the charm 🙂
My favorite study tip is to make quirky mnemonic devices to repeat to myself during the test. Sure the people next to me think im weird to be chanting things to myself, but hey, I’m gettin an A! For example, the hippocampus part of the brain is used for direction and memory, I imagine a hippo using a compass to get back to where he was!
My best study technique is always to make flash cards. Even just the process of creating the flash cards helps, you have to study to make them and writing the information down commits it to memory! And, I am always worth less after midnight. I might as well be sleeping so I’m not tired when taking the big exam!
Study in several different spots. Don’t try to fit in a cram session in one place. You’ll get bored and you won’t retain much.
I always used very elaborate notes involving different colors and highlighters. For some reason it always helped me remember.
The best tips I can give are to start early, read through your well taken notes, read the book, and get to know your teacher.
Because tests will depend on the teacher, so what you study will most likely change depending on who gives it.
OH, and take cat naps while you study. It makes all the difference. 🙂
Read over all notes pick out the most important info and put it on a flash card. Then on one side of the flash card put something fun or silly that instantly connects to the info.
Best studying tip I ever learned was from my mom, which is have a healthy snack like snap peas or baby carrots near your study area. That why, you have something to focus on, and it’s great to munch on veggies while studying. Talk about hitting two birds with one stone!
Take notes on your laptop, it allows you to catch more of what the teacher is saying since you can type faster than write. [which will more likely be on the exam] i also tape-record lectures with difficult material, and play it back over to make sure i’m not missing something 🙂
Sit on the floor! This may sound weird, but it works. I find a nice spot on the floor, preferably in the sunlight, and focus. Not only is there a ton of room to spread out, but also it takes away the temptation of sitting back and relaxing – or worse, falling asleep.
