With school getting back into full swing, it’s no secret that we could all use a little boost in getting back into the daily grind. Studying, memorizing and presenting is not an easy feat for any of us, and memorizing pages of material for those dreaded exams is probably one of the most stressful parts of college.
In an effort to add a little fun to the memorization process, Coca-Cola has launched the Crammer Keeper, a free new online tool that turns notes into catchy tunes…helping you memorize your notes in a new and fun way. Users can select the voice, choose a track genre (hip hop, rock, etc.) and then download the song onto their computers and share with their classmates and friends. Might as well turn your boring notes into a hip hop single, right?
It gets better, though – to help spread the word around the launch of the Crammer Keeper, Coca-Cola is giving away an iPod Touch to one lucky CF reader! Read on for all the details on how to win!

be in a quiet place with no distractions always helps me
I make sure to write all homework assignments and exam dates in a daily planner. Checking off each task as I complete them keeps me on track.
Don’t cram the night before! Space out the studying and make sure to get some sleep the night before since sleep helps to cement things in your memory.
Silly acronyms and making flashcards that I can review on the go on my walks between classes always helps me memorize my facts!
Studying a week/couple weeks in advance is definitely key. It really depends on the class; for some courses, it really is just pure memorization of hard facts and figures, in other courses, it’s about learning the theories and applying them to certain problems. I find it best to write study guides from memory and then go over my notes/the textbook to see which theories/applications I’ve missed and then study that.
My best study tip is to listen to classical music while working! It helps me focus and get everything done way faster.
I use flashcards and try to come up with little rhymes for each statement. It also helps to have some sort of music playing in the background. 🙂
My secret is to list out a detailed schedule of the week, day, up to hour of how I plan to use my time, sometimes specific page numbers etc 🙂
Flashcards!
I always keep LemonHeads by my study area and pop a couple in my mouth when I start to get cross-eyed. They’re a nice jolt of energy!
I find that writing things down helps me to remember them, so I always take notes by hand in as organized a manner as possible. When I go back to review, I try to rewrite and condense my notes (again writing by hand) by visualizing what my class notes looked like on the page.
The hardest class I have had to take so far was Anatomy. Memorizing where everything was tough enough but then there was spelling.Spelling is a huge part of the grade and the lab tests over the parts of the human body was counted wrong if even one letter is missing from the word. As silly as it sounds it really helped to do spelling test while pointing out the area of the body.
My best study tip would be to study by yourself and not with friends, because they will just distract you! When I’m studying alone I get in the zone and focus a lot more.
Mnemonic devices actually work, very well.
Sometimes I’ll use flash cards, or I’ll come up with phrases or sayings to help me remember everything.
A good night of sleep is important too!
Definitely doing the study guides that are given by the teachers. Often times, I think it is easy to think we know what to study for, but actually writing out a study guide helps me out a ton.
The best study tip I was ever given was by my dad. Organization is key to succeeding. Put together a schedule, setting up time in the morning to have time to yourself. This is time where you can read the paper, go for a run, or get a coffee. Doesn’t matter just so long as you have time to yourself to unwind and get ready for the day. Have a daily, weekly, and monthly routine and follow it! This same organization is used by great leaders and even our own presidents. If it can work for them, it can work for you! It has worked wonders for me 🙂
