With school getting back into full swing, it’s no secret that we could all use a little boost in getting back into the daily grind. Studying, memorizing and presenting is not an easy feat for any of us, and memorizing pages of material for those dreaded exams is probably one of the most stressful parts of college.
In an effort to add a little fun to the memorization process, Coca-Cola has launched the Crammer Keeper, a free new online tool that turns notes into catchy tunes…helping you memorize your notes in a new and fun way. Users can select the voice, choose a track genre (hip hop, rock, etc.) and then download the song onto their computers and share with their classmates and friends. Might as well turn your boring notes into a hip hop single, right?
It gets better, though – to help spread the word around the launch of the Crammer Keeper, Coca-Cola is giving away an iPod Touch to one lucky CF reader! Read on for all the details on how to win!

Copy down the information you are studying (definitions, etc) on flashcards, or even just on notebook paper a couple of times. Having to transfer the information and really think about what you are writing down helps! It also helps to read it outloud after you write it down. Not the mindless kind of reading out loud though, actually pay attention to what you’re reading out loud.
My best studying tip is to connect your information together — you should be able to explain the concepts to somebody else and how they relate to other concepts, etc! I also make up funny acronyms or jingles to help me remember — so this app sounds like an awesome idea!
my study tip is to do it in 20 min intervals! study for 20, take a 5 min break where you get up and move. even if its just a drink. moving helps you from getting too drained and having all the studying be pointless!
I honestly think the most important thing is learning not to panic during exams and going into them confidently, with a fresh state of mind. Also, when you’re reviewing, make sure that you don’t get so engulfed by little details that you miss the major concept or big idea involved!
I try to go to my teacher’s study sessions! It’s no use cramming if you don’t really understand what you’re trying to learn–an hour of personalized tutoring helps more than many hours by myself.
I highlight the important information, and review over them while i play some good tunes (with no words). Finally, I try to explain the information to someone else, to make sure that I understand the material completely.
The best way to study is to review the topics covered in class after class. This way you don’t forget any of the information between class and reviewing and you have already retained some of the information when it comes time to cram before the actual test.
When I study, I try to start a couple days ahead so that I won’t be as stressed. Normally what I do is to make flashcards on a website called quizlet and use its different methods to help me out
I play a song I like on repeat while studying, that way when I take the test and that song pops in my mind the things I studied for are mentally tied to it.
*it’s like studying when you are drunk you have to be drunk to remember…. my mind wonders during test 🙁
Repetition! Discover your weaknesses and focus on those. Mnemonic devices can also be very helpful for memorization!
Quizlet.com is a lifesaver!
I highlight everything I don’t know in my notes, then type up all the highlighted stuff into a study guide on my computer. Then I print that out, and study it for a day or two. Then I go through the study guide and highlight all the stuff I don’t know from that. That way the night before the test I have a very manageable amount of stuff I still have to study and it’s not too overwhelming studying all of my notes.
My favorite study tip is making sure everything I could possibly need is around me. When you need to get up to get a drink, or change the station if you on’t like the song, it can really disrupt you. So make sure everything is around you, stay focused and play instrumental music! Because you’ll never not like the song 🙂
my best study tip is to re-read notes and make a 1-2 pg study guide with the most important points, which i review later right before the exam.
My best study tip is too use different colored pens. I am constantly using different felt tipped pens so that when I study I’m looking at the same color. Things sick out more and better
Organize, organize, organize!
The most important thing for me is to organize information. Not only to organize my notes but to arrange them into meaningful groups so that they better make sense and also are easier to remember.
