  1. Ive shopped most of these stores and here are my thoughts. it’s been hit or miss with tobi, and modcloth is way overpriced. I’ve had the most luck with ruche and their customer service is by far the best out of any I’ve shopped with. A few other shops I adore not on the list are spotted moth, deloom and a-thread. Theres a great site called storeslike.com. I’ve been able to find some great online shops from this site.

  2. I am so surprised to find that someone else (besides me) knows of ALL those websites. I could not have named them off better. MLTD.com is also good too. Dolls Kill is my favorite and Karmaloop is number 2(: Thanks for this; you’re awesome!!

  4. I don’t know why that previous poster had such a problem with Tobi, I found that website through this article and I’ve had nothing but good experiences with it. They constantly have new things and everything I’ve bought from them I’ve liked! Not to mention they always have sales and I think the prices are pretty fair

  5. This article was such a great idea! Would you all be able to do one with stores that sell clothing for specific styles? (i.e. stores that sell clothes that are classic, stores that sell clothes that are feminine, stores that sell clothes that are boho, etc.)

  6. My two new faves are urbanog.com and deloom.com

I’m surprised ASOS isn’t on the list as well! I find Modcloth and Ruche carry very similar items, however Modcloth tends to carry slightly lower quality for the price.

Thank you for the list! Searching for places to shop on a budget can literally be a full time job! 😀

I haven’t heard of many of these great brands before 🙂

  8. Asos, H&M, Brandy Melville, Necessary Clothing, 2020Ave, Chicnova, Zara, and GoJane are some really great sites to checkout. Kind of surprised some of these are never mentioned on the site at all.

  9. While not exclusively a store for clothes/accessories, ebay seriously has great, trendy pieces for very inexpensive prices. As long as you check the seller’s rating and read the sizing descriptions carefully, you can get high-quality products for much cheaper than other similar stores like Forever 21 or H&M 🙂 I just have to advocate for ebay because I’ve bought so many wonderful things from there!

  10. Some of my favorite thrift store finds are by Romy (romystyle.com). Their online store is still very new, but definitely one to keep an eye on if you like “romantic” style clothing.

  11. Avoid Tobi at all costs!!

I’ve purchased there several times and every single time I ended up having to return most of the items I bought. They are either VERY CHEAP fabric, or faulty. like unpurposely faulty hemline, shirts that are wider on the left side than on the right side, and the list goes on..

  12. I agree with Alesha about ASOS not being on the list, but I think maybe it’s because it is such a popular site in comparison to the others. I have heard of Karmaloop, Nasty Gal, and Modcloth; I will have to check out the others :).

  13. I’m really surprised that ASOS.com wasn’t featured on here. They are good for everyone’s style including plus size and have the best clearance section I’ve ever seen, free shipping and returns and the prices suit everyone’s budget.
