With the popularity of models and model-off-duty style growing, I wanted to feature another model this week: Gigi Hadid.
Gigi’s presence has been rising in the fashion industry; she’s considered to be one of the “it” models of the moment. Her style is casual yet trendy and perfect for the fashion-conscious college student.
Below is a week’s worth of outfit ideas based on Gigi’s best street style looks. Scroll down to see them all:
Table of Contents
Monday:
This outfit is ideal for a busy Monday, since it is comfy and laid-back, but still looks very polished and put-together. Start with a classic striped button-up; leave a few buttons undone for a more casual vibe.
Grab your favorite skinny jeans and throw on some sneakers for an easygoing yet stylish ensemble. A long beige cardigan keeps the look neutral and is perfect for chilly mornings.
Tuesday:
While I love a neutral look, adding a pop of color is the best way to spice up an outfit. Snag an attention-grabbing purple coat (or a lightweight cardigan for spring) to liven up a Tuesday ensemble.
Dark wash skinny jeans and a white pullover sweater keep the attention on the coat. Add some fun boots, like Gigi’s snake print ones, to up the style factor even more.
Wednesday:
A leather jacket and jeans is a classic outfit combo, but you can make it ultra-trendy by opting for a fringed faux leather jacket. Pointed-toed, patent leather boots add to the stylish rocker vibe. Complete the look with bold sunnies.
Thursday:
This polished yet fun look starts with a bright blue top and distressed skinny jeans (Gigi loves her skinnies, in case you couldn’t tell). A structured gray coat incorporates a menswear-inspired vibe, as do Gigi’s standout silver metallic oxfords. Stash your belongings in a large textured tote, and you’ll be ready to take on a Thursday in style.
Friday:
Leggings tend to be a college girl favorite, and this outfit is easy to recreate for early morning lectures or lazy Friday classes. You’ll stay comfortable in leggings and a striped tee. Classic white sneakers look chic and are perfect when you’re on the go.
This outfit consists of wardrobe staples, so for a trendy touch add a neutral-colored fuzzy cardigan. If it’s too warm for a cardi, consider adding some statement jewelry or a lightweight scarf to liven up the look.
Saturday:
An all black outfit always looks stylish when you pick well-fitted pieces. Suede is a big trend this season, so a faux suede jacket looks super-stylish on a night out, especially when paired with faux leather pants or leggings. The different textures create a cool, fashion-forward vibe.
Black heeled booties and a black scarf finish the ensemble. Again, if it’s too warm for this look, I suggest swapping the jacket and pants for a suede top and leather skirt.
Sunday:
A black t-shirt and jeans always make for a great base look, because you can do just about anything to it. Amp up that tee and skinnies with a black coat or jacket with elegant embroidery, like this jacket from Forever 21. Sleek black boots and mirrored aviator sunglasses finish off the look.
Thoughts?
What did you think of this post? Do you like Gigi’s style? Which outfit did you like the most? Would you wear any of them? Who would you like to see next? Let me know in the comments!
Just a clarification, Gigi Hadid is not Australian. She was born and raised in Los Angeles.
Sorry about that! It’s fixed now.
I mean, have you seen those oxfords and black socks?? – Amazing!
I like such comfy and yet unique looks. Feeling ourselves good wearing t-shirts and jeans and be a person having detailes like puffy coats and ugly boots – the goal of street-look fashion. Love it!
Yes, please correct the mistake of saying she is an Australian model!
