Scooby-Doo is an American cartoon franchise chock full of catchphrases. The original series has spawned several spin-offs. The mysteries they solve are tinged with supernatural hints, which is fun for fans of all ages.
There are five main characters. They’re all friends with equal amounts of screen time (and catch phrases!) despite acting as foils to each other.
- The eponymous character is Scooby, a talking Great Dane dog with a love of Scooby Snacks and his friends.
- Shaggy is Scooby’s best friend and is depicted as a chill guy who would much rather be eating at any given moment.
- Fred is the calm leader of the group and driver of the Mystery Machine who also has a tendency to believe in fantastical creatures.
- Daphne is the fashionable member who grows in confidence and butt kicking abilities throughout the series.
- Velma is a caring, sarcastic genius with a habit of losing her glasses.

Scooby Doo Outfit #1: Fred
Product Information: Top – H&M, Jeans – ASOS, Shoes – Modcloth, Bag – Modcloth, Scrunchie – Free People
Fred’s Catchphrase: “Let’s split up, gang!”
Fred is a put-together dude who likes to rock a blue and white palette. Copy his color scheme with a classic combination of a white top and blue jeans.
Trade in his signature orange ascot for a retro orange scrunchie. Pound the pavement with brown leather t-strap flats.
To finish the look and a little extra style, pick out a cute leather saddle bag.
Outfit #2: Velma
Product Information: Sweater – ASOS, Skirt – Zara, Boots – ASOS, Sunglasses – Madewell, Bag – H&M
Velma’s Catchphrase: “Jinkies!”
The Scooby Doo character, Velma, is sensible – but not any less fashion-forward than Daphne, her counterpart.
Velma would wear an orange turtleneck cropped sweater with a matching skirt. A pair of black boots are great way to modernize the look for 2020.
Her style also demands a pair of fun glasses, so grab some orange sunnies. A simple black bag brings the look together.
Scooby Doo Outfit #3: Scooby
Product Information: Dress – Lulu’s, Top – Lulu’s, Shoes – Modcloth, Headband – Free People, Bag – ASOS
Scooby’s Catchphrase: “Scooby dooby doo!”
Scooby may be a scaredy-dog but he knows to stash away some Scooby Snacks for courage.
Put on a corduroy dress with a black off-the-shoulder top underneath to get the ultimate Scooby style. A pair of black flats and blue denim bag serve as great accent pieces.
A blue velvet headband is the perfect homage to Scooby’s signature blue collar.
Outfit #4: Shaggy
Product Information: Shirt – & Other Stories, Pants – H&M, Shoes – ASOS, Hair Clips – Anthropologie, Bag – ASOS, Sunglasses – ASOS
Shaggy’s Catchphrase: “Zoinks!”
Just because Shaggy is the least “traditionally” stylish character on Scooby Doo doesn’t mean you can’t find fashion inspiration in his looks!
Be a more polished version of Shaggy in a green tee and brown tailored trousers.
Black flats are perfect for any occasion, be it hanging out with Scooby or searching for ghosts.
Extra additions like a brown wicker bag to hold treats, and a pair sunglasses, are great for getting that 70’s look.
Green hair clips are a sassy accessory to finish off your outfit.
Scooby Doo Outfit #5: Daphne
Product Information: Top – Modcloth, Skirt – ASOS, Shoes – Modcloth, Headband – Free People, Bag – ASOS
Daphne’s Catchphrase: “Creepers!”
Daphne is obsessed with matchy-matchy colorblocking. A purple top and skirt combo is quintessential Daphne. Would purple heels be too much? Nope. Not even close!
Her signature accessory is a headband, so be sure to grab this yellow-green version. Don’t forget a little bag, just in case!
