Do you struggle with transforming your outfits from day to night? Don’t worry, CF is here to help turn that daily annoyance into a fun challenge. Class to Night Out focuses on one piece per week, and aims to help you take your look from study sessions in the library to dancing the night away.
I went shopping this weekend and there were two textures dominating the fashion department: suede and fur, which are both fall- and winter-appropriate. Speaking of the latter, there are so many ways you can wear faux fur! Fur coats, fur collars and scarves, fur vests or gilets, long fur, short fur…you get the idea.
Since it’s not winter yet, faux fur vests (rather than coats) have been catching my eye both in stores and on the streets. They just look and feel so luxurious! No matter what you pair with it, you automatically add some glamour to your outfit.
If you want to see just how easy it is to style a faux fur vest for class and a night out, keep reading! I had a lot of fun dressing up the “class” outfit in particular with this vest.

Finding a good, casual balance with a faux fur vest for class can be a little tricky since it does add a dressy element to your outfit. A dusty colored long sleeve t-shirt and some broken-in boyfriend jeans will create the perfect casual vibe. Add some more fierceness to your outfit with leopard print flats and tote your things around in a rusty red bag with faux alligator trim.
As usual for class I like to keep jewelry simple, but I think this gold tassel necklace and these black stud earrings match perfectly. Coat your lashes with your favorite mascara to give them volume and length and make your eyes pop.

Remember when we had that conversation about slit maxi skirts? Well, here they are again. And dare we pair said maxi with a crop top? I vote yes. Rock your faux fur vest with a black single slit maxi skirt and a long sleeve turtleneck crop top. The crop top is balanced by the high neck; it covers much more skin than it shows!
Burgundy and plum colors go so well together and look especially chic for fall, so find some red wine-colored wedge heels to match your jewelry. I love the way this gold bracelet complements the lace on the purple clutch.

What do you think? Are you going to pick up a faux fur vest for the fall/winter? How would you style it for class or a night out? And would you have gone in a different direction with the night out outfit? Let me know in the comments, I love hearing feedback!
